captel and vonage

how many deaf people use captel with vonage service? so i hope you have better service than landline phone? so let us all know ok
 
I've never tried it with Vonage, but I did with Road Runner Cable Telephone (a VOIP service). It worked fine. Only way to tell if it works is to test it out.
 
I don't use a home phone. I use my cell phone for calls... if necessary.

My parents use Comcast and they haven't had problems. :)
 
Several Years Ago...

We tested a CapTel with our Vonage service back in early 2003, and it did not work well at all. :rifle: See link here to a pdf file from the manufacturer which states on the last page that VOIP service is not compatible with the CapTel.

However, I think the CapTel manufacturer is getting ready to beta test VOIP-capable CapTel services with a small group of test users this year.:fingersx:
