Canada is in middle of the federal election for the Parliament and the Conservative Party leader and Prime Minister Stephen Harper has predicted that the Democrats to win both Senate and the House of Representatives. He did not predict who would won the U.S. Presidential election though.

It is rare that the Canadian Prime Minister make a prediction on the U.S. Congress election while he is campaigning for his re-election. As a Canadian, I think it is the first time for me to see our P.M. do it.

Welcome back to pre-1994 that where democrat were majority and controlled in congress since 1950's, it's very possible about their prediction.

In Canada, conservative party is majority in parliament, I think so.

No, at this moment we have a minority Conservative government, but the Parliament is already dissolved for the federal election. Our election is October 14th.

It looks like the Conservative Party of Canada will win the election with a large minority or small majority. The centrist Liberal Party are so flat and the socialist New Democratic Party is surging.
