Hey, as you know Canada still does not have Internet Relay Service like in the USA *boo, hiss* and that brings me to my question to folks that live in Canada and use cell phones.
What I would like to ask is do any of you use a cell phone with a TTY? I am going to sign up with Rogers for their voicemail to text service (it is another $15.00 a month on top a regular cell phone plan) and I am excited about that as that means no more missed phone calls (I do not have an answering machine on my TTY and call display doesn't work for those "unknown" or "private" numbers).
Since I am giving up my landline Telus phone for a cell phone with Rogers, I need to find a cell phone that will work with a TTY. I am clueless where to start!
Any suggestions what I can do? Are there "portable TTYs" out there that I can plug into my cell phone and use like a regular TTY or what, especially when I am not home?
Thanks for any information or advice you can give me.
Cheers!
