Can you sign Oklahoma Deaf Expo?

I am sorry I don't believe this will do any good...

Oklahoma is too close to much larger cities like Dallas, Fort Worth and Kansas City. If DeafNation ever decides to expand to more cities, they'll probably prefer to be in or close to some places with larger deaf population.

Then why not ppl from Dallas, Ft Worth, and KC sign up for it in Oklahoma that they would attend? The more ppl that sign up, the more merrier.

A Deaf Expo would only be good if there is a large number of people in the area. Rochester is a good example. Getting 3,000 signatures here isn't going to help. For all we know, half of the signatures could be from people from the other side of Earth... who aren't even going to come.

If you can get 3,000 signatures on paper from your local community, that will show them that you can get 3,000 people to come to a local Deaf Expo in your area.

I agreed. I am not sure about Texas...Dallas or Houston or Austin? Since we are thinking of moving out of state in few years. I am curious because when we move, I'll like to know where DeafNation is so we can go by and enjoy ourselves.

Vampy, you do make valid point. EagleCherokee63, could you find out from DeafNation if ONLY people living in Oklahoma can vote? It seems to me that only ppl from Okla are counted to vote.

Mama2, I checked in www.deafnation.com and it showed schedule of deaf expo only for this year. You could try contacting them and ask if they have schedule for 2007 and beyond.

Dallas/Ft Worth to Oklahoma took up to 6 hours. I don't think it would be great idea.

DeafNation Expo launch in Austin to receive couple thousand people from San Antonio, Houston, DFW and few from Oklahoma. That way booth (seller) are will pay which is DeafNation's alternative to make more money enough to pay the space at conversation center.

you said here it negative! You not support. It not nice!
Well, it's true, if we try and they won't coming. That's reason why San Antonio (Deaf Fiesta), Houston (Great Deaf Houston) and Dallas/Fort Worth (Deaf Celebration) come up their own deaf expo each. They use their own money to pay with small sponsor. Most are big risk, they're most try to make money enough to pay everything they need.

While DeafNation get bigger sponsors. Why? Bigger companies are except to have big customers to learn their companies' service and more.

Prehap, you should get good committee and team up to build own Okalhoma Deaf Expo to show how pride you get.

It not the point about negative; its how the person who own Deaf Expo to do those. The person make the money but they are not doing any thing due interesting to have high crow of deaf population.

However---

Its under from CSD.

I am not sure I understood your post. Did you mean you had a Texas-themed deaf expo in your state?
