I ran into a friend of mine and he was very excited because he bought a new car. He was telling me how great it is - it has some sort of ipad type thing in the dashboard, everything lights up, even the door handles, and he very proudly told me, "It's turbo charged!"

And I started to laugh.

Worse than laughing, I was trying not to laugh and failing.

He wanted to know what was so funny.

And you know that moment when you realize you can't explain something?

"ok, so there's this Deaf forum, and this guy who sells bicycles, and then these cats who haven't yet learned to clap, oh and ferrets, um..."

Yeah, some things you have to experience for yourself.

LOL, now i wish i was next to you with a video camera, that would have been priceless...

and more so the expression on his face not understanding what the heck you're saying about turbos, bicycles, cats, and ferrets LOL!!

That was running through my head, the stuff in quotes. I was imagining trying to explain, and gave up before I even started. There was just no way.

I was about to, and then my brain froze, sort of realizing -

kind of like if you're riding your bike in the woods and you're about to turn onto a trail, and then you look and see that it starts to wind around but then just sort of fades away into nothing, it wasn't really a trail. On a good day you notice before you steer your bike into it.
