New California Law: Do Not Throw Batteries in the Trash or Incinerator where you live. Fine for Breaking the Law is Very Expensive $$$$$$

WHERE TO RECYCLE/DISPOSE OF BATTERIES

 Some county/city governments have recycling/disposal programs; check with your local county/city.
 Some counties or cities have special programs to help deaf and disabled dispose of hazardous waste including batteries. Contact the city hall where you live to ask.
 Visit: http://www.earth911.org on the Internet to locate recycling or battery disposal centers near you.
 Hearing aid stores/centers, hardware stores, gas stations, auto mechanics, pharmacies and medical device dealers may also be able to accept your used batteries. Contact stores to ask first.
 National chain retailers known to accept used batteries (not all of the stores in the chain may do so):
 Radio Shack.
 Miracle Aid centers
 Audibel centers

Well, considering batteries contain hazardous chemicals, I don't think it's so silly. I don't want my ground water poisoned.

at least that enough nice of them made that law at least some people need made action and instead of them do it themselve. Image, if we let our kid play outside while kid play the sand. Its has toxico.. I don't want my kids look like this at www.rotten.com but don't visit that website if you don't like see a real gross.....
