How do I use Bypass Client 0.78 (or any version actually). I am trying to get around an 8e6 home filter, and this might be the only way. Yes, I have read the tutorial thread already on this site--none of that worked. And the link for 8e6 users is blocked by the 8e6 filter. I read in PC mag that to use Bypass Client you must change internet settings and a whole bunch of stuff; however, it did not go into detail. Does anyone know what exactly I have to do to make it bypass the filter? Or does anyone have any links to a tutorial for this program (although I'm afraid most of them will be blocked anyway). If anyone has succedded in byassing a 8e6 filter, please tell how you did it. Any other methods are welcome.

I have tried to get the program Circumventor, but the only place I know where to get it is on www.peacefire.org. but thats blocked as well.

THANKYOU to whoever responds!!!!

At first I wonderd what the heck FerrariLord was talking about so I put '8e6 filter' into google and got this site:

http://www.8e6.com/
then I saw this
http://www.8e6home.com/services.asp

Looks like the home version is software based. Just boot from a live CD and you're all set, best of all if you browse the web from a live linux CD you don't have to worry about hosing the windows install on that computer.

have fun.

I found a tutorial about doing this, but heres the problem. After I download Ubunut Live and ISO recorder (for copying it to a CD)--I right click on the folder and click on the "Copy Image to CD" button. After that the CD Recording Wizard comes up. But I can't proceed because no recorder is selected, and there are no recorders to choose from, also I can browse for one. I think I should type "E: Blank Writable Usuable" into the box, but I can't type anything!! Here a screenshot: http://www.picfury.com/8/miniuntitled-2.html

Thanks alot!!!

OK, I copyed the image to a Cd. But The Computer is not booting form the CD when I start it up. Could someone guide me through changing the BIOS settings to do this? I have Windows XP Service Pack 2 on a Hewlett Packard. Thanx.

Do you want us to wipe your nose too?

On a HP it's esc or F1 or.. esc then F1 or something like that to get to the alternet boot menu.

Yea I can get to the menu fine. but I'm having trouble changing it to boot to CD. I put CD on the top of the boot order, but nothing changed.

Nevermind, I got it. Yaaaaaa!!!!!! I had the CD as first on the boot sequence order, but I had to remove the exclamation point that was next to it by pressing "shift + 1." Did the trck. I'm filter free. Thanx, farmerjoe.
