The Hemet Unified School District stands to profit $225,000 next school year by continuing to provide busing for California School for the Deaf, Riverside, an official said.

Mike Fogerty, the Hemet district's director of transportation, said 2010-11 will be the seventh year that the district has bused the CSDR students. The school board on Tuesday authorized the district to enter into an agreement with the state Department of Education. The district will charge the state $ 525,235, according to a staff report.

Hemet also provides busing for students in the San Jacinto, Perris (high school and elementary), Romoland (special education) and Nuview (special education) school districts, Fogerty said.
