Bush-era interrogation memo: No torture without 'severe pain' intent

please see previous post where I have corrected Liebling. You and Liebling continue to bring soldiers, CIA, and defense contractors together. :cool2:

Excuse me, I do not need you to correct me because I know the difference between CIA agents and soldier for long, long time. You are the problem to misinterpret ADers´s posts including my posts because you are too lazy to use good common on anything...

Its about "follow the order", not CIA agents and soldiers´s job task. Their job tasks are different but they follow their government´s order to do something.

ok. I've already clearly told you the precise difference of CIA agents and Gestapo SEVERAL TIMES. My job's done here. :)

Leibling hasn't mentioned the Gestapo. That was you. And the Gestapo is not an issue here. We were discussing the torture that has been documented and performed by CIA agents. Any opinion on the fact that lies were told about the number of times that waterboarding was used? Why the need to lie if they weren't hiding wrong doing?

Second hand information. Talk to the source, Jiro, talk to the source.

and I have - the bbq party and my best friend and WP friend and more :)

Like I've told you before...going to a picnic with the professors from the math dept. doesn't make me a mathemetician. And going to a picnic as the guest of a friend doesn't make you a military expert. Especially since a West Point student hasn't fought in battle.

Now, back on topic, as West Point has absolutely nothing to do with the CIA interrogation tactics.

What is frightening about torture is that those who support it will ultimately try it themselves.

and I specified it for Liebling. What started this fire was Liebling comparing CIA with Nazi (but it's actually Gestapo). CIA is NOTHING like Gestapo (or Nazi) just as much as you dismissed that SoS's example of local level crime of terrorism. Are you having trouble following the thread? You can ask me, you know? :)

see my post #61. :)

Who said he was? His occupation was part of an explanation regarding the book he was referring to. And you having a friend that attended West Point and going to a Barbeque there doesn't make you an expert on this topic, either.
and you having chit-chat with friends do not make you an expert either. I simply shared my perspective. :)

And, yes, let's do get back on topic. Please stop derailing.
and you continue to derail..... I kindly asked you all to get back on topic. Please do not ask me to stop derail when it was you who continue to derail. All you have to do is comply to my request. :)

If I need to ask you to clarify, I'm in real trouble.

I've seen your posts. Contradictory and illogical.

Where did I say I had a chit-chat with friends? I have spoken, in depth, to those that have fought on the front lines regarding their experiences; some of them friends, and some of them family members.

And since this is my thread, I'll make the requests, and you comply.:giggle:

and I have not claimed to be a military expert. Are you?

And I have repeatedly told you that West Point is not mostly comprised of students. It is also included veterans, defense contractors, and soldiers with active status. Who do you think who teach those students? some college professors? :cool2:

Now, back on topic, as West Point has absolutely nothing to do with the CIA interrogation tactics.
Thank you. Tell that to Liebling because she continued to be confused by mixing soldiers with CIA and Nazi.

I truly am getting tired of the games you are playing in an attempt to derail the thread now that you have been busted.:cool2:

and I have seen your posts. Obfuscation and distorting. You continued to beat around the bush to avoid SoS's direct question. Looks like he's gone for now. :)

Oh, yeah, and they all mingle with the underclassmen and their guests. Get real, Jiro.

and you continue to be confused. That's why you keep saying that I twisted your posts. It is you who are confused and you do not understand this issue quite clearly. The ultimate difference between CIA and Nazi is that Nazi aka Gestapo can illegally detain ANYBODY and torture them and execute them. Gestapo thinks they're above the law.

1. CIA has oversight committee and they are not above the law nor think they're above the law.
2. CIA does not execute people.
3. CIA interrogated terrorists and terrorist suspects
4. CIA is not allowed to detain or interrogate civilians unless they're declared as terrorist by U.S. President (and the oversight committee) via Patriot Acts

Again, Torture is a crime. To legalize crime is also crime, too because the terrorist suspects haven´t been tried (and convicted) of anything.

that´s because they follow Government´s order...

What a horrible joke.

Please understand the precise difference. Educate yourself on this issue. Stop watching movies about CIA stuff. It's fiction. fake. Oliver Stone's movie is fake - no matter if it's based on true story. It's still fake, overly-dramatized for theatrical purpose.

Are you saying that Le Ly Hayslip who experienced her childhood in Vietnam is a fake? It´s her who got Oliver Stone to make movie "Heaven and Earth" for her. She wrote 2 books and film... Shame you!!! `*shake my head disgusitly*

I answered the question numerous times.

And mods, either issue the appropriate warnings for taking this thread off topic, or close the thread. Doesn't matter which at this point.

actually you and Liebling started it. I simply responded to input the perspective. You cannot just ask us to stop especially when you started it first. There's a door if your own kitchen's too hot.

Exactly, Leibling. To sanction our torture when claiming to combat the torture of another is just as criminal.

Okay, for example, if some "terrorists" broke in your house and rape your daughter and killed your hubby, what will you do when the CIA got five "terrorist" suspects and none is talking. You want the CIA to beat the crap out of them to find out which one will talk and admit it? I bet you would since you want to take them to court and burn them to hell for what they did to your family. Take that example as country trying to defense ourselves against anyone is trying to fuck with us.

 If anyone who break in your house and hurt your child then is intruder, not terrorist.
