shiningman presents the world premiere of
Gilbert is Dead
a Victorian adventure mystery by Robin French

London. 1866.
Charles Darwin’s recently published theory of natural selection has turned the world upside down.
Celebrated taxidermist Lucius Trickett finds himself in cahoots with legendary explorer Gilbert Shirley – and Queen Victoria herself! – to disprove Darwin with a stuffed specimen of the mysterious Ghost Loris.

Will Gilbert fight his way from the South Pacific to England in time to save Lucius from the madhouse?
Will they restore Faith in people’s hearts?
And what happens when the missing link goes missing?

shiningman fills one of London’s last Victorian music halls with taxidermy, fights, puppets, and mammoth Victorian Theatre sets!
