It's rare in LA but most of them are found in desert region, not same species as in midwest like Texas. If I see it then I would be :hyper:

then what you do if brown recluse spider bite on your skin?

I never seen one before but I heard that Pacific Northwest has lot of them. I have seen the black widow few times in the dorm at CSDF in the 90's.

Mostly spiders will not bite you unless you threaten them.

There's Hobo spider, it common in WA state and other northwestern states.

Just almost similar to brown recluse spider.

ah I never heard of that name of the spider, Hobo spiece.

why the heck is this thread in the pets section when it's obviously not a pet

btw a family member of mine got bit by one and had to get ping pong sized mass removed from the leg area... wasn't a pleasant experience

...and most of them are usually in their 'corners'.

I've seen a couple of these nasty varmints and taking extra precautionary care not to let them near. ;)

Posts have been made in reference to these critters in the past, bottom line, IF ever biten by one, it's imperative to seek medical attention right away.
