Gotta jump in here, my friend, making the world a better place really has little to do with IQ. IT's your heart, kindness, tolerance of others that help make the world a "better Place"...Intelligence is wonderful but not needed to improve things. I say never be ashamed of your level of intelligence..high or low..it really has little to do with what you end up being or doing with your life..A highly intelligent person could be lazy and obnoxious..they won't get far. or they will be humble and have all the positive things I mentioned and they will be surrounded by others. We all learn and forget things each day...I wish the young girl the very best..But I would never lay the heavy load of "expecting her to make the world a better place" upon her tiny shoulders. with all thats going on in this world.. how someone "scores"on a testing of their intelligence really seems pointless....there;s so much more important, I hope her parents give her love and support...the numbers seldom matter.M♥

I thought the IQ test was designed to measure logical reasoning and not trivia knowledge? The Mensa test is.

From what I understand... people of all sorts come into this world.. Some of them have the desire to make change. A lot don't.

Having an high IQ count doesn't automatically make one to go "I want to change the world..."
 
I've read that Einstein didn't take an intelligence test anyway.
 
One thing I want to point out

In short a person IQ is mental age/chronological age. Where average is between 90-109

She scored a 162 and is 11.......not boasting but I had a test when I was 8 and got a 147. At a young age, a high IQ puts you in the gifted category. Now if you score a 160 and are ~40 (einstein, hawking, etc, etc) that means that you're F-N ridiculously smart.

test her again when she is 20, $100 says her IQ drops to around 120. I havent had another IQ test, but I put money on it that I wouldnt be above 140

yup, skeptic. emotional and social reasoning is not the same as being able to arrange puzzle pieces a certain way :)
 
Although an IQ sounds and is impressive, it may not be just as impressive as you may imagine. You see, an IQ only measures your capacity to learn, not how intelligent you are but how intelligent you can become. So, if you have a high IQ yet you put forth no effort to learn towards your full capacity then your IQ is only titular and irrelevant.

they're smart enough to know they can't change the world. and why is it that you all (general you - typically those with average IQ or commoners) expect us to do everything for you?

you expect rich people to pay for everything.
you expect genius people to come up with save-the-world ideas.
you expect powerful people to do noble thing.
you expect us to do job for you useless people.

:confused:

don't you think we high-IQ people have selfish needs like ya'all do? ie... we would like to get rich. we would like to retire at age 30. we would like to travel around the world and be with beautiful people. at same time... we are altruistic.
