I loved Braveheart but it was so sad, too.

"FREEDOM!!!"

Have you seen Last of the Mohicans"?

Yes, I love it... it´s really very gooooodd and sad movie... I saw it three times...

While Braveheart is a well-made film, but one has to remember that it is very historically inaccurate... even by Hollywood standards.

The movie itself is based quite loosely on the life of William Wallace, a hero of Scotland. Mostly justified by the artistic license though.

True, movies are not the same as documentaries. At best, they can provide the atmosphere of the time and events with some names and dates tossed in.

I never trust movies for historical accuracy, but I think historical dramas serve a purpose if they stir the interest of people to investigate further into historical topics and characters.

Besides, who can resist the romance and heroism? ;)

heard it seen it loved it

that movie's over 10 years old and yet still popular to watch.

yea most movies based on true events aren't accurate but at least you get an idea what it was like. There always has to be a love story .....I think thats why i loved swing kids the best cause it was based aroud the dictatorship of hitler although the characters were fake it was about family and friendship.
