They told me its 60% left on the pads. Maybe someone put iPads in it, thats why. No, Im kidding.

Lift your car up and shake the front tires to make sure it's tight. If it's loose then probably bad tie rod or bearing or joint ball. Send your car to shop and they should take care of that.

If your steering was vibration DURING you hold the brake at ANY speed then the front rotors/pads need to replace.

If no steering vibration and only happen at low speed then probably bad front tires. Try tires rotation.

Worn or uneven front tires can be cause but no noises, just feel like brake noises. Tricky.

Thats the problem, costs money, money to fix it. It says need special tool to repack the bearings. I dont know if a bearing can make that much noise.

Hub bearings are not serviceable on all Honda. You can not do anything with pack grease in ball bearings. Very rare problems. Some older Hondas have bad hub bearings.

Yea so doubt its the bearings. Its pribably defective brake pads or the rotor reached its servicable life.

Don't feel bad. I delay the alignment plan to do align my Honda cuz this car is not driving much. I fear new tires get wear out fast if I drive every days. I am sure the alignment is out of range after noticed slightly featheredges on the inner shoulders of the tires (front).

Yeah I see that. I drive my car everyday, sometimes stay home all day. The bus service sucks and we have no choice but drive around for errands and work.

I don't think so. Unbalanced tires can cause shakey steering wheel during high speed like 40 mph or more.

Yep. It is smooth at all speeds. I should take a close look at the threads to be sure no alignment or suspension issues.

Some of them check from outboard or inboard only due quick job. I always check both outboard and inboard.

Did your Honda got alignment after replace the new tires?

Take front tires off and measure both your rotors with caliper and post here what MM they are.

I caught a young deafie mechanic for not check the inboard brake pads during oil/filter change and perform vehicle inspection. I remind him to take all the wheels off for brake inspection. He looks like lazy or bore with the job. :roll:
 
just saw this thread. Its kinda hard to daignose over the internet. I have a few questions.
1. what type of pads do u have? semi metallic or ceramics? I buy nothing but ceramics. it stops better, stops cooler and I know I can stop hard if needed alot.(wifey does :roll:) I know it makes a dusty mess on rims, but I think its a good trade off for better pads.
2. when it makes noise at low speed, have you tried checking to see if it louder when in a turn? if so then bearings.
3. do you have "streaks bumps" on your rotors ? sometimes with "60%" pad left will be 20% or less with the streaks humps wearing down to the rotors.\
4. Did you check the low pad indicator squealors on both sides? sometimes bending them back a bit will eliminate the noise but will needs to be replaced ASAP. even tho it was 60 % few months ago can wear down fast!! If you dont drive it for a week during rainy, or snowy/salt season then it will build up rust on rotors and act like sandpaper to wear out pads faster.

IT started doing that in Dec to now. Shop told me it was 60% last month. Does that answer your question?
 
I guess its time to pull the tires off yourself and take a look. you might find your answer then.

Yeah, that's what I'm planning to do soon to take a look at it myself. I might even take a pic or two to post if I'm not sure.
