Oh boy i wonder will the police charge the doctor with murder? Remember Terri Shavro case? You cannot take someone off life support without courts approval. If cops dont charge doctor with murder then law enforcement officers are hippocrites. There was a case a boy was on life support and doctors refused take him off life support and his dad pull a gun on doctor and made him pull the plug and cops arrested him and charge him with murder. Why shoud doctors be above the laws?

I think it met HER wish, not doctor's wish! There is already law in placed that Doctor can NOT decide to unplug the life support without the patient consent. I am sure that this patient already gave him the consent in writing long ago. I think it is noble for them to wait til after the child is born before they unplugged the support.

There's no comparison between Schiavo and this case. It's apples and oranges!

*sigh* Know your facts before you spout off. This woman suffered a stroke and had cancer. She was terminally ill. It was her families wish she be kept alive to give her baby a chance at survival. After delivery, they turned off the machines per her families request. No laws were broken.

Get a grip.
 
Well how come 10 years ago chicago police arrested the boys father for murder when doctors refused to take him off life support when the father asked him to? The cops charged him with murder when he pointed a gun at the doctor but no shots were fired.But cops play favorites between doctors and private citenzens.Cause doctors are above the laws and when they do something wrong like wrongful death you can only sue them cops will not make any arrests if you die on a medical mistake.But when you hold a gun to them and make em respect your sons wishes oh yeah theyre make an arrest.But when it comes to doctors very rarely theyre go to jail.

Specifics on this case? There are some cases where parents simply cannot accept that their kid is disabled, but is also very much a kid....but they whine and complain and think that their child's life must be SO HORRIBLE with no quality of life. Also parents don't always know what's best....they aren't doctors or professionals!

You would have provide a link for what you are talking about, but usually in cases like you describe, the charging parent probably had something to do with the child's injury or death, so when the child dies, the person responsible is charged with the death. It has nothing to do with doctors at all. The doctors are in no way at fault in this case. Nobody else is at fault, either. This woman had ZERO chance of survival.

Still gives you no right to take her off life support.If you want Hire a lawyer and get courts permisson to take her off life support. I cant find link, like i said it was 10 years ago.

The courts have already given someone the right, Steve. Look up the Karen Ann Quinlin case. That case gives each of us the right to be taken off life support. As for your comparison to Schiavo, the Nancy Cruzan case gives people the right to discontinue tube feedings. If you want, I can find those links for you, but yes, each person has the right to make the decision without it being considered a crime to do so.

Not when her brain is dead and has lack of response to communication and action so...what's good to have someone kept alive when someone's most imporant organs like the heart and the brain has stopped responding and they aren't even themselves anymore when they just sit there lying like a zombie.
 
Like i said,It was 10 years ago kids father took gun in hospital and order the staff to turn off the machines when his boy was on life support and police arrested him.

Hey Everyones.. chill out.. don't need be inslut Ravesteve.. I think you're obessed him being "hatred". Simple He asking you guys "question" what opnion(sp) of your strength!

As for my opnion.. Depends their wishes... If suppose Doctor felt isn't worth have live support w/tubing who person has brain dead. Unless must permission next kin come consult first!

as for me.. if suppose doctor decide pull live support out... Hopefully would be greater press charge and will have big court... depend people who can file lawsuit.. What case specific.. *Depends*

You can't compare Terri Schaivo's case with dead brain woman.

What's the kind of illness a boy has?

The doctor have good reason to reject boy's father's wish to end boy's life.


The doctor only turn the machine accord family's agreement only if the patients are dead brain or severe brain damage or any serious damaged... where they are unable to look after themselves.
