I am surprised about these states will have an affect if you have mod-chips or
using with a copyright circumvention devices like a hombrew classic games, like in California, Minnesota, Wisconsin.

Mod-chip merchants get ICE'd - News at GameSpot

I will not buy anymore for Nintendo, Sony, ESA, or Nintendo. :evil:It's over
for me! Kiss my butt to ESA! Good-bye. ::bye:
Stupid DMCA! I hate this @#$%ing DMCA!:rl:

Would you like milk and cookies?

lol, I don't understand about him, that's not big deal.

PS3 and Wii don't have mod chips, also Xbox 360 with after fall update don't have mod chip too.

I dont give 5 shits about modchips for my Suri. All my consoles never had been modded. besides I dont want to get myself in hot water with Sony should a modchip cause the Suri to committ hari-kiri.

I may pay a lot for my games, but hey it keeps the developers working cuz if it was free, the developers would be in the unemployment line!

CCfan, are you support mod chip? Now, You don't have respect to game developers, just like sablescort said.

I don't need this. I would be boycott them. Anyways, I wondering
if I had modded on my PS2, what I do, that is illegal? I will throw it away immediately. However this is very good thing, I don't have modded into anything at my house.
I would not planning to get a mod on other or newer consoles. Because I feel guilty if I have mod cause it would be seem illegal to me. I will not made my
myself for that because I don't know to how to do it.
I will try to move on with other things. Forget about mod-chip, because I have no problem with
my older console except... region-coded for DVD/games. I don't care
about import games or bootleg. But I care about homebrew games such classic video games via burn DVD or CD. I prefer authentic games, DVD, but them are too expensive for games right now. :ugh3:

I am not really blame to game developers, blame to DCMA that Bill Clinton signed
the law, also congress/senate made this stupider law that prohibit
with mod-chip, and game-disc copyright circumvention devices. Also,
I blame ESA for lobbying for tougher game law on copyright and against mod-chip.

You need do on computer, like emulate, also don't bother console but Wii is other story because require to pay for virtual console.

Multi-region DVD players are much unaffected, you must be fine.

I don't see a point with a modded console. All I do is buy a new console and buy games for it, isn't it hard to do? I don't need no homebrew games to run on a console. If I want that, I'd emulate it on a computer or shareware games made for Mac.

That's your call, though.

I hope this will do.

I know that region DVD player are not affected. I have it one! I will be fine. ;)
Because I need it for UK has subtitles or SDH
on bonus materials from Fox, Sony and etc; and MTV titles does have subtitles or SDH on Region 2 that doesn't have CC/SDH on MTV titles of Paramount.
By the way, thank god, that doesn't affect this DVD. :P

Great, I almost forget to tell you about PSP has been cracked that is not modded, so, it can be legal
through firmware custom. It's great! DMCA forget about these things
about computer, or firmware custom. Haha!

Well the PSP has been cracked yeah ...but its yer risk. I DONT run homebrew on either my Suri or the PSP as both are under warranty. Ive known of some PSP's running homebrew getting bricked and Sony refusing to repair such PSP's with homebrew.

I only utilize legal firmware from Sony as to keep my nose clean. The last thing I need is sharing a cell with Bubba in the Club Fed for software piracy.

I'll say it simple: modchips + illegal pirate software= your stealing from Sony and developers.

and oh I should define the word "bricked"....It means your PSP, 360, PS3, any other console is....pretty as useless as brick if something breaks.

CCfan, if you modding on Xbox 360 then you will get kick out from xbox live for good, unless you are going to replace into new xbox 360 and get different ISP.

I'm sure that same applies to Wii but know about applies PS3, I feel that PS3 can developing the illegal firmwire but you can't login on Playstation network until system has update so done. If Sony find out then you wouldn't run the future games, also game developers are put firmwire update software to make included with games.

Now, it's getting more tighted.

I don't think firmware custom would be illegal. I am sure, that will be safe.
Anyways, here's a solution: I will use 2 PSPs -- one for this with custom firmware and that another one with official updated firmware.
