Boy Scout group needs to work together better

I went to a midnight rummage sale. It was radically cool!! I don't remember even going to one like that before. It was for a boy scout fund raising. I found a lawn mower and snow blower for a good deal. I went to pay for them at cashiers table. They told me that they did not put those prices on the items. They called in someone else and asked if those were the right prices. That someone came and told yes, those were the right prices. I hate how some people try to rip me off. Sad that not everyone agreed on the price. I would have hoped for more respect from a Boy Scout group. It won't stop me from going to midnight rummage sales. I think they were so cool!! I think more people should do midnight sales.

Maybe it wasn't anything personal to you and they weren't trying to actually rip you off... It sounds like a lack of communication on their part, with the people at the cashier thinking the price was too low. I agree though, they should have handled the situation differently.

I had this happen before in best buy too. I saw an air humidifier for super cheap, like $5 as shelf display while the regular units cost $60. I snatched it up and the guys were like, "that price can't be right" so they rang it up and the manager came and he said I could have it for the price, it was right.

It may be due to the economy. People are sensitive about getting the most out of their money when it's bad times for everyone. You can see it on ebay. Everyone buyer wants a lower price, but the sellers are reluctant to sell for lower.
