That's scary. At least you are safe! :)

Yes it ia alittle scary and very interesting to watch an implosion of a old empty building at a very safe distance. You will be able to feel the vibrations and the boom in your chest and your ribcage will rattle. You will be able to hear the implosion no matter how Deaf you are and they will hurt your ears so you will want ear muffs and ear plugs. If the city newspapers announce a old football stadium or a building is going to be going down on its blocks then bring the folding chair, a couple cold 6 packs of beer and a photosnapping camera or even better a videotape camera and kick back let the construction guys take care of business and enjoy the fireworks.

I also want to note here that terrorists do not have the public's safety in mind meanwhile the construction company always takes every pre-caution and keeps the safety of the general public in their minds as they work with the blueprints, computer animations of how the building should go down on its blocks in a safe manner as much as possible. The construction guys go through the empty building to make sure there are nobody there, kids loitering around in the building or there are some homeless people who set up a makeshift home in the empty building then once they really know the building is empty and not a soul in sight then they will radio the foreman to give the order for the implosion to proceed and they announce the implosion through a formal announcement with a microphone and loudspeakers then the implosion can be enjoyed from a safe distance. The only thing you run a risk is of flying objects can go into the crowd even if the construction guys tried to take every safety pre-caution in mind so you might want to think about watching it from alittle more far and a safer distance. Of course, they are fun and very interesting to watch. I saw a t.v. show on the construction company doing the implosions of buildings on I think the History Channel or I think the Discovery channel. I am not sure which channel but it does show how big of a responsiblity the construction company has to go through in order to proceed with an implosion of an old empty building. I hope you guys enjoyed the video clips. Now that is an appropriate use of explosives. :) :thumb:

I think somebody must of not liked going to their least favorite class of the day at school so the kids called it in. They probably got a hard of hearing friend to speak on the payphone. I am not sure the kids completely understand they are tying up essential emergency services. I would prefer to have a prank call than a real one but really, I do not want to get either a prank call or a real call then have to leave the building which is the smart thing to do but prank calls 5 or 6 times a year at school can be really annonying.

 Crazy kids. You know kids can be a real bastard sometimes.
