I found this very interesting article about injuries caused from overusing pager devices with QWERTY keypads.

http://www.breitbart.com/news/2005/10/20/D8DC4N8O0.html

"Repetitive motion injuries, which have long afflicted desktop and laptop computer users, are invading the mobile handheld world.

There's even an informal name for the malady _ "BlackBerry Thumb" _ a catch-all phrase that describes a repetitive stress injury of the thumb as a result of overusing small gadget keypads."

That kind of phenomenon has been around since "Nintendo Thumb" at the very least. Heck, Ken Griffey Jr., an All-Star baseball player, had to be put on a disabled list back when he was starting his career because he overdid it one weekend playing Nintendo and had to take a few days off from playing.

The news media is improving. The first article I saw on this showed a Treo user getting "Blackberry thumb"

I got new blackberry last Jan, yes, my thumb was pain! for blackberry's wheel, I learn more about 2 week, my thumb is no pain! whew!
