Black Bear Restaurant do you like it?

Slight derail... So most of you guys on this board are from the west coast? Just wondering! A lot of you have left your locations blank. I figured that was probably because of us knowing somebody who knows somebody else. The small world and all...

Iowa

I suppose it could be but I kinda think they all are up north.....I'll see if I can Google this.....

I just checked and, gosh, there's 55 of them, apparently but, according to the map, the furthest one south is in Signal Hill(Los Angeles) area......

Olive Garden managed that...I had to go with my coworkers after training to show I was "in the spirit of things." The food tasted like everything came out of a can. How the Hell can you mess up a simple salad? No idea...but Olive Garden found a way.....:barf:

I am banned from Olive Garden.

After a minor surgery on one of my ears My wife wanted to go to Olive Garden. I was in immense pain but she had been waiting with me all day so I toughed it out. My wife said during dinner "Does your ear hurt? Because it is really red" I said nah. About five minutes later my ear exploded. It looked like I had been shot. With all the pasta and blood it looked like a scene from The Godfather.

Hmm, I dont know what the name of that place is then. Another restaurant out there with HUGE portions in The Claim Jumper. that food is pretty good though. Not sure if they are still around, that was years ago.

I'm glad I'm not alone. Olive Garden is an abomination. I went only twice :barf:

first time I went... it was an abomination. I went for second time because of a farewell party. I ordered nothing. I cannot possibly understand how could they not do a simple thing with their bread basket. It was beyond salvation.

Now, the Claim Jumper.......that's good food but sinfully too large portions....There's one not 5 miles from me.

Yup, I went to one in San Diego, I am a big eater and I didn't finish my meal. I still felt like I couldn't walk when I left the place. There was one somewhat close to Upland that I went to a few times.

:laugh2: Awfully sorry for your pain, but I would have LOVED to see the look on their faces....trust me, you're missing nothing. That place is about as Italian as Papa Gino's.....

My brother used to work at the Olive Garden. He used to tell me that Tuesdays and Saturdays sucked so much because that was when the HEB truck would deliver their bulk frozen TV dinners. Some of their food came prepared and frozen! It's my understanding that they no longer do this but what in the world were they thinking...

Eff the Olive Garden! Give me someplace that keeps it real.

I hear that a lot which seems strange because I remember it as being pretty good 20 or so years ago. Guessing they must have reduced quality to keep prices low.

Tried that 7 layer cake once---we had it for days and days,
