Reminds me of Luke Skywalker's hand from Empire Strikes Back movie.
"A bionic hand that allows a recipient to feel ‘life-like’ sensations is set to be transplanted on to a patient’s arm for the first time.
Until now, artificial limbs have only been able to pick up signals destined for the absent hand and translate them into a range of movements, but did not give users any sensory feedback.
But a new robotic hand aims to restore a sense of touch in amputees."
