Stupid and lazy people. Mess cables cause heat up.
Not always. Cable have 12v powered but amperage is minimal.
I've been there at my friend's house. The pix of cable behind the desk was very much like this. It turned out that when I cleaned up the mess. I found 3/4 of cables are not in used!!!, No connection to any on its end. I pulled out and wrap it neatly and she was shocked how many cables I found which had no purpose!!!
I told her don't add up cable if you don't plan to use. Just use few and behind her desk look so much cleaner and organized BUT what's worst is cat's pee and craps on floor and on top of Sorenson Router like I mentioned horror story from technician on my post year ago.

Power cable or not. It's about heat come from router, computer, server, UPS Battery, etc.. Heat can't get out thru too much cables.
One of my friend complained that his computer's CPU is overheat issue.
His computer case look like that

So I help him to rebuild it for him and it look like that.

It much cool down and no more overheat.
Nothing do with power cable or not, it's about block the cool air.
Yup, CPU wiring is different, I was talking about cable either TV or Ethernets.
I did exactly the same on CPU, organizing the wiring. I don't like the idea that wire either on or hoovering over the CPU fan and other cooling fins. So I either use plastic wire tie or re-orient the wire. The main power connector for motherboard tend to get in the way of CPU fan and IDE or SATA cables. Sometime twisting the main CPU power wire a few turns helps prevent it from "spring" back to its position. Wire tie or a plastic twist locks (white plastic loop with locking ball on ends) usually from old CPU did work nicely. As for IDE cables (now becoming obsolete) I just folds and tape the cable so to make it thinner to maximize cooling and ease of reaching memory, and any components in CPU case.
I've visited one of company and seen mess in their phone "network" room.

No, They are same. Why you don't try to put a lot network cables or modem cover on top of router and you will see that router will get overheat due no heat escape.
I don't put anything on top of router, I never do.
Catty
That will cause overheat. Correct?
Now you get the idea that I talk about.
Wow that's really big and complicated mess!
oh, yeah! I feel like eating my spaghetti for supper. Heh heh.
Nah, we shouldn't buy a wireless router. It's just because the EMF isn't healthy. It is pretty similar to a cell phone's EMF.
You just have to learn to deal with the wires. Just keep them clean and organization. Or, just cut them and make them shorter wires. That's all.
