Beware of chicken JERKY from China!

I gave my dog Booda bones and it made her sick. She usually has an iron stomach. It was bacon flavored. Anyone have a problem with Booda Bones?

Since I do raw, don't have many bone sub's around though we do have some of the Super-sized Naylabones....haven't used Booda's since our first beloved Rottie who couldn't have raw bones, I can hunt around for anything on Booda's

oh, also, here's a link to a site that does put out warnings, changes, news, also has articles on canine holistic health and nutriiton: DogAware.com: Diet & Health Info for Man's Best Friend
the author writes for a holistic dog magazine I subscribe to called Whole Dog Journal-

Thanks, dogmom. I looked on the Booda package and it says made in the USA. Wonder if they use ingredients from China. :hmm:

I notice that I have 2 chicken bone treats made in China. I got it off Dr. Foster and Smith. I would never have bought them if I had known that. I complained that they need to indicate country of origin on the website. If not, I'll buy my stuff from someone else.

Thanks for the info Dogmom and I'm glad you complained Sally Lou!

I won't buy any food processed in China whether its for pets or people. Obviously based on the problems that has made the news the Chinese govt doesn't regulate their food industry sucessfully.

no problem:)

yeah, Sally, I've told them -Foster's - that I won't get the stuff made/processed in China...shameful since the catalog is based on a veterinary clinic. When I first started in dogs some years ago now, we got a lot of stuff for our then-baby puppy <1st Rottie> from Foster and Smith. Now I occasionally have gotten durables - like pet beds and car seat covers -from them but nothing ingestible
