Besides Ignorance and Just Plain Stupidity and Meanness:

I don't recall any one "making fun of me because I am deaf". I had a Profound hearing loss over 30 years prior to becoming bilaterally in 2006.. It is possible- I never Heard them.
I have had many people ask about my Implant and answer their questions.

Why don't you go to a hearing forum and ask the hearies why they treat deafies differently. :lol:
