'Beltway Rapist' Gets 20 Years

Rockville, MD (AP) - A man convicted of raping a woman
whose car had broken down on the Capital Beltway
has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

The Montgomery County (website - news) state's attorney's office
says 37-year-old Christopher Hutchinson was sentenced Friday
on his conviction in the September 2003 attack of a woman
on the outer loop, near Connecticut Avenue.

Prosecutors say the woman got into Hutchinson's car after
he agreed to help fix her flat tire.

Hutchinson had a previous rape conviction in Virginia.

I hope the streets and highways will be safer with one less man around to hurt anyone again. This man now has 20 years to think about what he has done, and to change his life around again and hopefully become a better person. We can hope anyway.
