Becky-David Elementary School hosted deaf storytellers Kenny Tedford and David Eakers on May 5 as part of the 32nd Annual Storytelling Festival. Deaf and hard-of-hearing children of all ages had the experience of seeing the deaf performing artists who incorporate American Sign Language (ASL), pantomime, storytelling, acting and movement.
The event allowed deaf and hard-of-hearing students to meet other deaf and hard-of-hearing students in the area and practice socials skills with others who experience the same communication challenges.
