BB OS Update - 4.5.0

I will test Geotagging and send pix and see if u can find out where did I took pix. I would post em' if I figure this out.

Personally, I had no clue how to extract geotagging location to pinpoint location. Let me see what I can figure this out from Google search.

Aah! I got it. When I turned on GeoTagging in Camera setting. Went outside and took pix at my work parking lot then went back in. I navigated to Media--Pictures--My Pictures. I clicked the recent pix of parking lot to expand. Then I click BB Menu left button next to trackbutton. I scrolled briefly and saw 'View on Map'. I clicked the selelction, it automatically linked my pix to BB's Map and it look like thumbtack with 'balloon' with pix inside of it.

It's kinda like "Big Brother" watching and keeping track of us where pix were taken.. :eek2:

But no worry, just turn off GeoTracking if you don't plan to use it to prove it to your friend.

Very interesting!

It can be an excellent game for anyone to guess where the pix were taken in which location.

Or take pix at store and send email to another mobile device with GPS and make them figure out where it was located without providing address. Give em' hard time!! :rofl2:

In Flickr, Look for "map" under "Taken in....". Click on it and you'll find where I took the pix. :giggle:

It's neat that I got my BB Curve upgraded to 4.5.0.131.....

I had already updated to OS 4.5 from Verizon website and work so smooth.

I'm wait for BB 9630 to release on Verizon in next 2 month but had consider about Storm and don't feel like want use touchscreen, however I haven't try Storm, except for model with no shown demo on screen.

I found out that BB Bold has issue with Java and website is load so slower under 3G than BB Curve with EDVO.

I've tried a live BB Storm at the mall last Dec. It was responsive and I navigated around BB Storm's menu ect. The browser show error, no connection (Verizon refuse to have live data demo!!). Honestly, Storm's media player is darn fast!! when I entered media player and tap the menu and entered one of the movie on the list, Immediately the movie was loaded and ran so quickly. I would say 100% faster than my Curve's media player!! I was amazed of it's speed.

The only thing I kinda don't like is that Storm's touchscreen dispay that kinda "floats" when pressing, you can feel "click" when press. I don't mind that tho.

keypad was a bit slow to respond to my tapping, so I just press and release a bit slower than normal for smooth typing. It's typical of touchscreen. The Onscreen keyboard wasn't bad. It's just perfect for my fingers. Most important thing is that you need to clean the screen with windex cuz of finger "oil" smears that cause slower or no response (many people been messing with Storm display at mall that's why) It'll become responsive when cleaned. All touchscreen smartphones are high maintenance because you would need a tiny bottle of windex and clean cloth to carry with you.

From what I see when I played with it, Storm's menu, programs ect are pretty much similiar to Curve's program. I didn't have problem navigating on Storm when I first tried it.

so what you think of geotagging? I think it would be perfect if you use it for like vacation or places you know your friends will say BS you not there or you never been see that.

What you think? I think I ll use it when I go on our 15th anniversary this May in Florida on the beach.

I had tried BB Storm at Verizon store and don't like it due touchscreen, it's more weird when compare to iPhone.

If RIM fixes the java issue for BB Bold then would be own BB Storm by mile.

I'm waiting for BB 9630, however rep at Verizon store said haven't got any information after week, I would expect to hear about more information in next month or couple.
