I learn something about bankruptcy information from my friend. Unfortunately, My friend had not wise decision with her money history. She had to file for bankruptcy. Still, she has to pay debts over time that she accepts the fact that she is at fault. All is settle for her to manage her budgets. Somehow, the other branch of bank named is SUMMIT tookover the old bank while everyone's accounts are remained the same. All of a sudden, she is not allowed to get online to check the balance and she is not allowed to go to the bank asking for the statement of her balance to check her car balance and her special visa (with bankruptcy's permits) or any information at all. What the HELL! How can she suppose to know with her OWN money to make sure that she has enough money to pay her bills and car loans. She decide to open her new account at the other bank. The other bank is aware about her bankruptcy situation and allow her to get online to check her own money.

I am stunned with Summit bank that summit bank refuses to allow anyone who is in bankruptcy to look at their own balances. Oh My god. if they don't allow them to look at their balances then don't open the accounts for them in the first place. geez.

did it happen to anyone of you or your friends? Now I know about summit bank that is very limited options.

Interesting! :cool2:

Yeah it seems some banks are extremely anal once they find out you filed for bankruptcy. I am assuming it varies by branch, or by different banks. They want you to visit in person so they know you aren't going to be pulling a fast one on them.

It's like they say, once you go bankrupt, people got you on a leash.

I know a few of my old bosses from computer companies who went bankrupt and fled the country to avoid bankruptcy.. one of them being a cousin-in-law's father. They were very rich, owned a 3 story mansion home in Pasadena CA - with real looking rock pool, giant 10ft bird cage. When I went there one time, wow, socks got rocked off.

Few years later after bankruptcy, all that go bye-bye. Father fled, just mom and her kids - Mom had a brain aneurysm a few years later from suffocating in suba diving and running out of oxygen.
