Bank Manager Kidnapped, Held Hostage During Robbery

LANCASTER -- Police are searching for two suspects accused of kidnapping an assistant bank manager and holding her hostage for 13 hours at her home before taking her to the bank and forcing her to open the vault.

The victim is reported to have left her home to get something from her car Monday night when she was approached by a man and woman who were armed, according to the Lancaster Sheriff's Department.

Both suspects were wearing ski masks according to investigators.

Officials say the victim was held inside her home until morning, when she forced to drive to Downey Savings Bank and ordered to remove all the money from the bank vault.

The robbery occurred shortly after 7 this morning at the Lancaster branch at Valley Central Way and Avenue J.

The two suspects then took the victim back to her home where she was forced to lay down on the bed before they took off in her car, investigators said.

The BMW was later found near 27th st. West and Avenue J-12.

The male suspect is said to be about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing around 180 pounds.

The assistant manager, described as a woman in her 50's, was not harmed in the incident and investigators said they are not sure of how much money was stolen.

Officials say there is no indication the bank manager was an accomplice in the crime.

THAT DUMBASS!

Reminds me of a movie I've seen called "Inside man."

Of course that plan in the movie was alittle different but...those guys must've planned it from the start, indeed.
