attorney regarding to MVA/car accident injury case

have anyone of u got one before? how often did the attorney contact/talk to u?
mine, he wouldnt talk to me on phone i m sick of his word WILL CALL U BACK i have waited no calls and called him again, so on WILL CALL U BACK but never anyway, i m thinkin to quit being his client but i m worrying cus i have signed arrangement with his 1/3 of my settlement but i m not satisfied and cancel his job i ll may still pay him how much hr he has worked for, hey, i ant paying. should i take another patience? any suggestion/advice would be appreciated

Yes. Hubby and I used one after our accident.

I can't remember how frequent it was but it seemed OK. My hubby's case was settled quicker but mine took longer because I needed more medical tests. Mostly, we called the attorney when we had questions, and he quickly replied.

When was your accident?

It depends on your contract/agreement with him. Maybe you could have another lawyer read your contract.

Is your lawyer an individual personal injury lawyer, or does he work for a large firm? If he is part of a firm, you might be able to request a different lawyer represent you within that same firm.
 
Sometime they dont need a lawyer. I didn't get a lawyer when I was in bad car accident. I am sure some of you read my story in here.

I see, he wouldnt answer when i stopped by his office dropped off some letters, bills what to do with them all he said is CALL U BACK so i left and i got more letters, bills, also threat to file collections, ugh, should I pay bills asking to make a payment then why I have attorney didnt help me but the end of settlement he got 1/3 :squint:

yeah, I know, my husband went without attorney.. well
 
Report the fraud to BBB (Better Business Breau , Freewoman.

i dont know about attorney individual or .. it is my first time to get an attorney, I was told to do by my mother in law :o
my husband was there with me too and he quited i thought i would take more patience, my god, my wrong.. husband has to pay attorney some hours instead signing arrangement for 1/3 i saw, i dont think i would pay him if i quitted cuz he does nothing as well

ok, we stopped at red traffic light 4 to 6 cars ahead me, behind mine car, funny, same toyota camry, couldnt make stop he was speeding and too close to my rear car and hit us, lucky, ahead car left when light traffic turned green already so, our car moved abit and husband got up to look back :( crashed.. his front badly totalled and gas or water leaking on asphalat he was holding his cell i assumed he was on cell :dunno: but whoever called 911 firefight trucks first arrived husband told them i m 3 mo preggy and there is 2 years old daughter, then ambulance took us to hospital, ER to make sure.. husband stayed there at scene with cops to report, not our fault charged man with 2 degree neglect sp? at ER i was told i will have stiff my neck and back but xray shown no broken, next day i got sore badly my nesk and back and shoulders :tear: for long we found that attorney and reffered us to drs my husband got wrist injury he was holding wheel when hit force his wrist pressed, my older daughter and i on belt seat and hurt when force move our car u know hurt neck, i got lump on chest first dr thought milk plugged given antibiotic not gone away dr thinks car accident caused :dunno: my shoulder left still hurt to move or twist or pull comfort blanket and heavy things i couldnt do so dr for my shoulder think i need to have surgery, ugh :/ and my spine back center always hurt or sore on and off still now i m seeing chiropractic but physical therapy stopped cuz my insurance from auto insurance has exhausted i have to pay out of my pocket but i have my healthy insurance through my employement but still i have to pay 20% i m so much stressed now

chiropractic dr accepts to wait to be paid after my settlement, what nice of him, well, i asked him to arrange making a payment cuz i hate to owe much the end :(

yeah, like i said PIP limit has been exhausted for myself seen much drs, massage therapist, physical therapy, shoulder dr, chiropractic and primary dr, but husband got covered by insurance seen few Drs and our older daughter too, but me :( so stopped seeing most only one shoulder DR still and rare to see chiropractic once 3 weeks or a mon cuz of no money out of my pocket i was told when settlement insurance will add to pay off or owe me how much i have "out of my pocket", true? i tried to ask my attorney what to do with over limit insurance coverage he didnt reply at all also he not allow me contact insurance but him only and let him talk with them i didnt get answered, frustrating

and car fixed insurance paid/covered but i dont want it so sold and got brand new SUV toyota 4Runner of 2005 :lol:
 
I do not understand why his insurance have to pay cover all of you. If someone hitted your car and his/her insurance has to pay for your husband's car, your family's medical bill, and wage loss. If fault-driver's insurance is not going to pay for it and your husband does have a right to take him to the court and make him pay the price of what he had done to all of you.

My AAA insurance pays me for everything. I had a new car, my medical bills, miles, and wage loss. It has been over a year. I wasn't driving my car and my previous boyfriend did. I didn't bother to take him to the court. He is lucky because he is not paying any dime. :o
 
We used a lawyer because the driver of the other car, and the driver of our car (hubby) had the same insurance agency. Obviously, our insurance company was not going to try very hard to collect from the other driver's insurance. Our lawyer was able to get a settlement for us that included totalling our car, medical expenses for both of us, lost wages for hubby's work, and "pain and suffering." We didn't have to pay any medical bills until the settlement was final. Our lawyer did all the work, and we never had to go to court.

You can't settle your case until all the medical treatments are over, or the doctors determine that you have a permanent disability.

There's a story about my accident in this AD somewhere. Sometime my old lawyer told me several time stating he'll call me back which I never got a call from him in a entire week so the following week I showed up his office, his secretary told me he's in a meeting, I grew furious cuz that time I rode the bus for nearly 2 hours to show up his office so there was no way I was going to leave without talking to him so I barge in his meeting ans shouted at him when are you gonna CALL ME? he apologized to me and will be with me in 5 min, ofc he had to deal with me in middle of his meeting and I told him since he's taking care of my case and he'll be getting my moolas and I'm not satisfied, all I want him to work on my case and I didn't see it getting anywhere yet. But afterawhile he did work on my case by calling my several time afterward... My case took eternity to close the case and thank god it's over now... I know i didn't take a proper step to complain about not calling me but I took the situation in my own hand and do something about it but oh well
