Ubisoft has pushed back the PC edition of Assassin's Creed III a few weeks from the console game's October 31 launch. The publisher today confirmed that the latest installment in its open-world stealth action series will arrive in North America on November 20, with a UK debut trailing on November 23.

For Ubisoft, delaying PC versions of its games behind their console counterparts has become standard practice. In the past year alone, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Driver: San Francisco, Rayman Origins, Call of Juarez: The Cartel, Shoot Many Robots, and Babel Rising have all made their PC debuts weeks--if not months--after their Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions.

Set during the American Revolution, Assassin's Creed III features a new protagonist named Connor who will involve himself in the ongoing struggle between the Templars and the Assassins. The game is being built by Ubisoft Montreal and six collaborating studios on a new engine called Ubisoft-AnvilNext.

I'm very disappointing to see like that and it is very obviously 100% console port to PC with all buggy/unstable like other Ubisoft games.

Delaying the PC games will going cause more PIRATED than ever and Ubisoft will not get money and more PC gamers already fed up with Ubisoft due to console port.

Don't blame on PC/Mac for piracy because you can still play pirated games on modded gaming console, especially Xbox 360 or jailbroken firmware for PS3 so piracy is far more common on gaming console than PC due majority of gamers are console.

Hey Ubisoft, your excuse about piracy issue on PC is invalid and void so time for you to set own PC division to hire developers who expert in PC/Mac to make 100% pure PC games that totally DIFFERENT from console port.

Also, used games hurt Ubisoft more too.

I could borrow AC3 game from friend to play on my PS3 or Xbox 360 at no charge so Ubisoft could lick my ass.

Explain to me, how can delayed games cause more pirated game?

Delaying game usually caused by failing to meet deadline to release or they discovered serious bug and wanted to fix it before release it.

because of Ubisoft and they have bad reputation with PC games now so many PC gamers rather to play pirated games than buy games. Ubisoft ONLY delayed the PC games, not console version. Many people said Ubisoft used delaying PC games to boost the console sales, that's part of marketing tool.

That's not true anymore for Ubisoft because Ghost Recon: Future Soldier was delayed and when they released, they have terrible bugs so took 3 patches to fix it, however it isn't completely bug free as console version do. Delaying games for polishing is lame excuse for Ubisoft.

There are plenty of games released to PC at same time as console, especially Syrim, Rage, Fallout, Fallout New Vegas, Dirt 3, Brink, Oblivion, Mafia 2, Bioshock 1/2, Call of Duty titles, all Valve games, etc. Why Ubisoft can't do same thing? obviously it is marketing tool.

Don't forget Ubisoft hates PC gamers enough to have installed what was a essentially a rootkit along with the Uplay DRM. The DRM that makes the game immediately stop if your internet connection to their server is interrupted (one reviewer said Sam Fisher was mid-swing to punch someone's lights out when the game froze and the connection lost window came up)
