Dan Clark (sorry only my first and last name can be shown)

No I don't have a job yet...I should get one this summer

I'm 18...turning 19 this october

I was born deaf so yeah I'm completey deaf

I think mine is oral...because I can talk...my parents caught me how to talk, read, and read lips better with a different method called "Cued Speech", as you may proably never heard of it, but it's not really the oldest communication method...sign language is the oldest communication method for many years. Cued Speech is only used with one hand around the face (mouth, chin, and cheek) and follows the vowel sounds and the way people talk, so that's how I learned to speak, carefully following by the vowels of the sound, I speak alot better as I grow up but I don't talk THAT good because you know i never hear anything as good as a hearing person does, so I talk pretty flat, but the longer you are with me, the better you'll understand how I speak...most people get used to get it when they know me about a couple of weeks or so

Oh cool buddy, i had heard of cued speech, therefore i try it by my speech specialist coz i am profound deaf myself and unable to hear any sound and want to learn oral but it is pretty hard work i must admit!

Naw if you just keep trying and focus on the mouth movement and the way the tongue works when speaking...You'll get used to it. I've been learning to do that since age 4 to age 8 and it started to improve...it is alot of work but it never is too late though

Did you mean the things you've said about me at the other forum?
