Hey LinuxGold -

tell me is Linux better or worse than BSD?

It depends in a certain point of view. BSD (Well, let's say FreeBSD) has better networking support than Linux. I personally prefer Linux, basically because it is my first love. :)
:)
Seriously I like both so not trying to start a flame war here. Originally Ive been into BSD for a long time. But now I've switched over to Linux - I like Gentoo and FC3. Am using the latter now.
Slackware 10.0 here :) Using it to run Samba, Php, Apache and MySQL to develop applications for my work.
Good to see a fellow PHP enthusiast!!!
Amen, brother, AMEN!
As for your comment about having 18 hours of flying time but inactive - I have 14 hours as well but been inactive for a while.
Let's push to finish the pilot's license! :)
I m looking into the Sport Pilot option - what do you think?

SLA licensing (Sport Light Aircraft I think?) is very limitive on a lot of things, for example, you only can have passenger, only can fly during the day, not night and so on. However, it's a good idea to get SLA license while you climb upwards after 20th hour to acquire pilot's license. It's a first step of encouragement towards full pilots license.

It's blue in skies, in skies there's shining sun, reflecting mighty creations of the Universe and smiling down upon us.
How are you?
As an expectant father of a daughter that is about to come, I'm anixous with elated anticipation.
How is everything?
Everything is in order, for dauther is to come is everything to us.
and Whats new?
That creation that is in my wife's womb is a new creation, so that is what's new.

Ok ok ok ok. Been busy working on massive projects, ended up into mind melt exhaustion every time when I got home. I’ve been working on a big database update from Access (some stupid programmer tried to use Access as a enterprise wide database where it wasn’t designed for it!) to Php/MySQL database. Anyway I’ll get into 500 words essay now!

I was born in Abilene, Texas in February 23, 1971. I was raised mostly in military housing area. I grew up to 10 years of my life in Dyess, AFB Texas, and it was my most favorite part of my life. Gee, I wish I could go back and re-live that memorable life. I became deaf when I was 16 months old from spinal mengitis. I started my school life out into rehabilitation center. Was transferred to normal school, Crockett school, when principal transferred from rehabilitation center to that school, and he believed that deaf people has the learning capability like any normal people do.

I then moved to Andrews, AFB Maryland and lived there for two years. I attended Kendall Demonstration Elementary School at Gallaudet University; it was the worst part of my life. When I transferred from Crockett School to Kendall, I had to restart my level to the lowest level imaginable. My parents fought and decided to transfer me to another school, which provides mainstreaming into hearing school I then was transferred to Sterck School in Delaware.

I attended various schools there, then eventually transferred to Caesar Rodney Senior high school in Dover, Delaware then graduated there. During the high school years I’ve been studying electronics, won Gold medal for basic electronics in Vocational Industrial Clubs of America and Bronze medal for advanced electronics in state of Delaware. I also studied poetry and wrote poems.

I attended RIT to major in Electronics Engineering in 1990, and I withdrew because I wasn’t certain of my future. I worked for Eastman Kodak Company as electronic assembler, got laid off then worked for PSC (bar code scanner manufacturer) as assembler. I promoted up to Electronics technician and my interest changed from electronics to computers.

From that point, I was introduced to Linux and been fanatic about Linux since then. I attended Delaware Technical Community College to major in Computer Network Engineering and have been working as database programmer at ClientLogic providing production effectiveness, and established KnowledgeCenters for various departments.

I am currently studying to become a pilot. I already logged 18 hours into my flight log and aim to finish probably this fall. I’ve been into airplanes since I was born into Air Force world. I am currently practicing my navigation skills using Flight Simulator 2002 professional edition.

How is my 500 words essay so far? I hope you will find this interesting and informative. This essay was fun, refreshed my memoirs of my life and boy, do I miss it! Don’t we all want return back to childhood days? Hey, where is the time machine?! Oh well.
