Just checking if you were looking. And, no, the Arctic sea ice did not retreat this year compared to last year in 2012 when the media and natural climate change deniers (i.e. global warming adherents) were salivating all over themselves thinking by 2013 the summer Arctic sea ice would be gone by Sept 21, 2013.

Sorry to disappoint but we're going the opposite direction here.

And, in case you're wondering why, perhaps the sun's energy output is one of the main if not main culprit for increasing ice and the stopping of global warming trend which hasn't trended upward in over 17 years (in fact, shows sign of trending downward over the last several years).

Arctic Ocean did freeze then melt then refreeze over time, based on season. The ice is melting during summer season but refreeze after summer end - that's normal.

If you set the map - August 6, 2013 and September 6, 2013 - you will see some ice disappeared between August and September.

The evidence of Arctic Ocean retreat isn't major part of climate change and you need look at sea level rises, also I got local newspaper about two different spiders (not brown recluse) originally from coast area but they spread to central and northern Alabama - the climate change was one of reason.

It is not new to me. *shrug*

it not the weather i was thinking about..greenpeace got lot to say about it,no remember what it was but they worried about poler bears dying out obviously something happening russia also cocking polar caps we all got take blame.you have to look at greenpeace stats..to late in the day for me at the moment.just add i live right by north sea and in last twenty years the tide has changed drematically but i dont think you mean tidal changes
