I have a sister and several good friends in Alberta.

There is always a plenty of jobs available there thanks to oil boom and strong economy. You can find a good-paying job easy within a week after you arrive there. About ten years ago, my friend's brother told me that he could get me a job within two hours if I let him talk to his boss.

Most people in part of cities like Calgary, Edmonton and Lethbrige and many rural areas are somewhat God-fearing and narrow-minded in some ways. In Calgary and rural towns, they live in western lifestyle like Texas. Their provincial government has been controlled by the Progessive Conservative for many years.

Banff is one of the most beautiful national parks in Canada and it has hot springs where you can enjoy relaxing. If you love stuffs about dinosaurs, Drumheller is a perfect place for you. This town has ALOT OF dinosaur bones epecially T-Rex and fossils. It is worthy for you to visit! :) The Town of Drumheller, Alberta, Canada - Official Website - Dinosaur Valley

Edmonton boasts one of the world's largest shopping mall called West Edmonton Mall and it consists of six phases - central shopping mall, hotel, aquarium, theme park, water park and NHL-sized ice rink where the Edmonton Oilers sometimes practice in front of shoppers and fans. I once skated on it during hot July summer with only a pair of tank top and shorts on. :D

Some companies in Alberta are offering jobs which include free transportation to go home for one week once every month to out of province workers. :)

Alberta, Canada's lifestyle and economy is quite similar to the Rockies and the plains in the US. Denver, Colorado, for example is similar to Calgary in terms of transit system, skyline, mountains nearby etc. Calgary has a better transit system, though. Edmondton is a nice sized town with a light rail system with a really huge mall.

Welcome Back, GA

It's great to see you here after long time no see...

Are you consider to move out to other town?

Yes, Liebling... I'm consider moving to another province far away from Ontario due here's lack of finding a job.. since I've been application different jobs different area but no luck. Isn't worth have be here due my husband's future job may lead to lay off but hard prediction future due relate automotive heavy duty pick up trucks are falling apart popular due expensive gas... So Lucky He still have his job right now.

Yeah Northstar,
I really like to view look out the beautiful mountains within few miles away from town.. Which I'm seeking for south of Alberta that where plenty homes and jobs too. Would be great for me as suitable for my children safer.
