esp with 'research have found...' which tends to have 'stupiid policy in the pipeline for more fuckups...have anyone noticed?

What types of policies?

I don't think we can deny that people have psychological problems. However, it is also unclear as to whether in the future we can solve these issues by physical means. What we use today, drugs, is clearly not always the answer. In the future, perhaps genetic manipulation will be the answer.

People will look back on us and see how primitive we are just as we do to those who lived in the past.

So what if someone bought a turbocharged car, goes fast, and get then pulled over by police?

They'll do it again and again and again because they love the thrill of turbo. Maybe someone in psychology department would explain the thrill.

I like to pick up old cassette tapes for cheap that are well cheap- found the verbal autobiography of Timothy Leary and played it while driving to and from. He had something to say on the subject. He was known for being a big LSD and drug taker. He started out as the foremost psychology guy in the US big degree, top job, major research, teaching all the traditional stuff.
He explained in there about what made him take what at that time was the road less travelled by back in the early 60's. Said that at that time all the teaching and training and the whole professional effort of the psych field at that time had not had an effect on results. He claimed, of the people that needed help the rule of thumb statistic had not changed at all. 50% got better the rest stayed the same or got worse.
He saw possibilities in the psychotropic research drugs of the time. He also saw lots of hallucinations and what not. Hmm. Did he help his profession? Lots of people are medicated now.
With all the help and resources we have put into the psych thing we have come a long ways. Or is just like in the early 60's and before - bigger population same rule of thumb statistic?
Grummer said it in way fewer words with more accuracy I think.
