As for scars-- I have heard thatNeosporin can work some miracles.

You could try a mixture of the following oils:

Jojoba Oil: 4oz
Sweet Almond Oil: 1oz.
Vitamin E Oil: 1oz.

Jojoba will open up the pores, then draw the other two oils in after it. It will penetrate scar tissue (as well as normal tissue) due to the small molecular size of the jojoba oil. Then, the skin can absorb the other two oils. Sweet Almond Oil gives the mixture its scent as well as help to condition the skin. Vitamin E will help to heal the scar as good as it can and will also rid the skin of the free-radical molecules that lead to pre-mature aging.

You should be able to find all these oils at your local health food store.

There are most information at another forum (not deaf-related), more especially this thread: http://www.healthboards.com/boards/archive/index.php/t-133764.html

Hope this help!

I have this gigantic scars just below my jawline and I think the only way I can "fix" it is by having surgery. They are too deep and there is a lot of tissue damage and loss.
People do assume they were gunshot wounds at first glance but then they found out it was a ... stupid accident and they would go: "and it made that BIG scars?!"... ahh yeah.
You can just learn to live with it. I do. I totally forgot that I am totally deformed on my jaws... I will look at the mirror and go, "wow, I sure look great today!" then turn my head, just enough to spot my scars and then go: "man... I totally forgot about them..." but I shrugged it off. It is something that makes me original-- and it is a great ice-breaker at a party. ;)

ahh yes, i have a scar on my foot from stitches. But the rest of the scars are like stupid scars like bug bites, or dog or cat scratches. THe one on my foot i dun mind cuz its like a history or story. But the rest of them is stupid and i want to make them less visual.

I just like the picture you idiot.. don't go around labeling people automaticly.

Probably you should ask a dermatologist. It depends on the depth of the scar, the age of the scar, the length of the scar, the type of skin you have, etc. Sometimes dermabrasion is enough. There is also laser surgery available for scar removal. There are also special make up products for covering scars, that even burn victims use. There are many options, but really only a professional can help you if you want permanent removal.

My mother had a scar by her jaw. She always hate and she would put some makeup to cover it up. She was sick tired to tried to cover up the scar. So she went to Dermatologist and gave her some cream to cover up the scar. It works a little and it will take forever. So she requested laser surgery and it looks good on her. She is happy.

Darkangels, I don't know if you like to see dermatologist or not. I don't know about your background, I respect that. If you want to cover up scar that you didnt like, it might be hard to have it removed by the dermatologist or Neosporin Scar Solution. It depends how deep your scar is. Laser surgery or plastic surgery will works and it cost $$$. Take care!! :)

it depend how long it would heal because if you have some scars that would heal too long means you may possible have low protein or sometimes could have diabetic which do have way of heal scars slowly....It best to go by dermatologist to ask for treatment and see if it work.

the one on my foot i am not worry about , but the rest of them like scratches, and bugs bite is not serious scar but it still visual. So I dun think i need to go to the derm____ cuz it not worth it and its cost alot of money that i dont ahve.

I heard from someone but i cant remember that there was some lotion or whatever and it helps, but i cant remember what it is. I will look it up in google.

Thanks neway.
