any experience with Smartphone based hearing aide apps?

Is there anyone here who has tried Ear Machine or Bioaid or other smartphone app based hearing aide? and what was your experience.

I use android phones but android is not supported by these aides so i need some info to decide whether to fork out the about $700 required to by and Iphone or not.

I am particularly interested in speech recognition and sensorineural hearing loss experiences.

are you talking about the iphone ones?? if so..i am looking at getting them sometime too!
