I went into Target's website and I saw Shop 'n Go cart but it looks like it's only for kids, by the look of the colors and size of a cart. I saw this Drive Medical Winnie Wagon but I think it's too small for big groceries to fit in, like 1 box of coke, 4 boxes of pizza, a bag of carrots, humburger meats, eggs, tea bags, etc. Either two of the shopping carts may be a bit too small but I can be able to fit a box of coke in the bottom of Shop 'n' Go Cart, so maybe I could fit in the rest of the groceries in the cart, but I can't be sure, so I don't think a kid-sized cart would be an option.

The reason why I'd go with a shopping cart is the grocery store aren't that far (about .5 miles) from the apartment that I plan to move in by myself. I won't go with a cab since a cab will have to travel from a service to an apt. to pick me up to grocery store and travel back to an apt. to service which will cost money, maybe like $5 to $10 but I can't be sure, but with a shopping cart, I save money in the long run.

So is there any shopping cart that you'd recommend?

Have you thought of the Red Flyer wagon? They can be used for groceries or anything like that. They make the big ones, I think.

I could choose that but I'd like to keep an eye on my groceries when walking from apartment to grocery store to apartment.

Oh right, that's true since people could steal it from behind.

Why get an apartment if you don't have a car?

Secondly, you don't need to shop big. You can get a couple bags at a time whenever you shop.

You're probably the only person living in that apartment. So, you don't need much. The second cart looks fine.

Public bus transportation. It'd cost $7.50 (may go up because of gas) for a 7 day pass.

I live with my parents.

About carrying lots of groceries, that's true. Thanks for your recommendations.

When you shop, do you buy a whole cart full of food or just a little for yourself? I can buy enough food to last me over a week and fit in either 1 or 2 bags. There's also backpack... your 3rd bag. As for bus, it's still easier to have 2 or 3 bags so u can get on and off the bus easily. Check with the bus station, I'm sure you can find something like a month pass. If you're a student, you might be able to get a discount.

I don't go to a grocery store via a bus, so walking is the only option. It's not that far from an apartment. It's about a less than half a mile away from an apartment. Also, I wanted to plan less trips to grocery store like 4 times per month. I buy 4 Digiornos (pizza) once a month. I do plan management like buying 1 big bag of french fries, 1 box of coke, 2 packs of hot dogs, etc. every 2 weeks.

I'd go with the wagon......Or actually, they do make these shopping carts for people who live in the city......I don't know where you can buy them online, but you can get them in NYC.

$7.50 for a week pass for a bus??!! Here in Seattle, the King county Metro transit, it's only $5.50 a month for unlimited bus trips. ;) You might want to apply for disabled/deaf reduced fare bus ID.

This shopping cart is the same I have but no front wheels. I rather not to have no wheels so that it stays still rather than it rolls down the hills. It hold more than 6 shopping paper bags or hold more than 10 plastics bags of grocery. I use it every sat to bring it from car to building. Its a worth!

Bought it from the hardware store at last!

Public Transportation in LA area don't increase more fare cost since when gas prices are getting higher but we have same fare cost since 2003 and went down from $1.35 to $1.25 in Jan 2003. The all cost are in regular fare cost.

I and my mom went to Wal-Mart and got myself a cart for the apartment, so I don't have to worry about a bus or a cab. The cart that I got should fit all the groceries in a basket with no problem.

Ah, that's good to hear.

What's the name of your bus system?

That's great. I don't find it on Wal-Mart website.

ACE doesn't sell a shopping/grocery cart like in Wal-Mart (Mom and I only saw it in store) and Target.
