Accidents because of blind spots

very simple - do a quick check with your eyes before you turn

Yeah I had to be really careful driving today as the snow banks are so high and wide you can't see if any cars are coming . I really used my eyes a lot today.

if you can't get used to that positioning.. maybe this can -

My Honda Hybrid has a horrible blind spot caused by the door frame ( not a mirror issue) I have to be careful when looking right. I have had some close calls.

which Honda?

yup. my mirrors are adjusted for that purpose when I first started driving car. I thought that was the whole point. I'm amazed at how poorly positioned these mirrors are when I drive other people's car.

Part of that could be height difference and position though.

yes. I position myself to where their head is so I can see from their POV. It's.... terribly positioned. I can never understand why do most people positioned their side mirrors so close to their sides when it should be far away from the side toward blind spots.

:dunno:

Yeah, I don't understand that either.
