A tail-wagging fundraiser for "Dogs for the Deaf" | dogs, medford, deaf - Top Stories -
Hawthorne Park was full of dogs Saturday afternoon. It was "Dogs for the Deaf's" only fundraiser of the year starting off with a dog walk early Saturday morning.
Their four-legged friends are trained to help people who are deaf, hard of hearing, children with autism, stroke victims, people with anxiety, depression or post traumatic stress disorder.
Organizers said it was a fun day filled with plenty of doggy activities and those who came out said their canines enjoyed it too.
Organizers said Saturday's event raised over $39,000 for Dogs for the Deaf.
