Hi I'm AJ.
I do, volunteer work. Learing sign to help out.
At first, I was not at all interested in asl.
I was like nope not interested,
I would rather lose my sight then my hearing...still feel that way.
Strangest thing is I have the problem of sound overload, I hear everything constantly, hums of equipment, sometimes I think I hear energy in the air..would say it drives me crazy but you can't drive some where your already at.
Back to my ASL story..nope not interested nada nuca, but I will help out my friends in the deaf community..
then I saw it one day and it looked like ballet.
It was like watching a beatiful dance, so flowing and expressive.
Me hooked.
I'm not an very outwardly emotional person but siging allows me to convey more of my feelings, so I love it.
I spend a lot of my free time in silence tuning out the world, but somehow asl now like other sounds play around in my mind.

oh yeah I don't have a sign name funny all my friend got there the first week, it's been 6 months, I it doesn't interest me, strange I know.
