Hello everyone! :wave:

I've been wanting to participate in this forum for a while, I just did not have time. So bare with me if I am spotty responding.

I live in northern AZ. I began my journey towards silence in 2003, very suddenly. I became deaf as of 2006. I have had a lot to learn in a very short period of time. I still have lots to learn, but I think I am in a better space than I was back in 2003.

I do use cochlear implants now. It is not perfect, but helps me function.

I hope I can continue my learning here and make friends at the same time.

Welcome LizaAZ, Yes the implants are not perfect but they sure do help. I also live in AZ but more southern and it's getting warm now. However I do enjoy warm weather so not a problem. I'm sure you will enjoy this group and there are all kinds/ages and very interesting people. Enjoy and do post.
