The day I came into this world
You suffered pain without a word
Giving the greatest spark of all
A Mother's Love for her new born son

Throughout my life, You were always there
You held my hand and did not share
What others thought or even cared
We were a family, never scared

Afflicted by others, You held my hand
Your council made me a wiser man
Your loving-kindness, understand
Caused me to be a better man

Your siblings created the strongest bond
One that will live on and on
And to our children, we will carry on
All lessons learned from our dad and mom

You have always been a loving wife
Through all the troubles brought in life
We all know, how dad cherished you so
It's been a long time, since he had to go

You've lifted our heads and showed us the light
To follow our goals and to do it right
We all wound up with very different lives
But, with the common thread of our Mother's love

Thundercliff, this is one of the best poems I have read. You did a great job making your words into a pleasant beat, that flows along peacefully. I can see how much love and respect you have for your mother. I dont know what else to say on the matter, this poem speaks for itself and no words are really needed. I give it 4 gold stars..lol..great poem..keep the beat of your heart flowing through your pen..youre a great writer!!!!!!!!!!

Aw that's beautiful, I bet it made your mom have a few tears falling on her cheeks, very heartwarming poem you made there for your mom....

I agree with Steph, you're a great writter, beautiful indeed!!!

That is a very heart touching poem that you have written for your mother. It is always so nice to read your poems :)

Wow, very heart felt and touching poem you wrote! Moved my heart to tears knowing how you felt when I lost my grandmother. I can see how much one's life do influence others without really paying attention to it until they are out of the picture. It's like a blackhole, not being able to see the hole itself that pulls us together until it's dead, then realize that the gravitional pull is no longer there. Then we become the next generation to those that befall us. Very nice poem that you wrote there!
