My N5 was just activate about a week ago. I have small ears so I couldn't use the Snug fit size that came with it. The snug fit comes in 3 sizes. Small, medium and large. It came with a medium snug fit.
The medium was to small for my ear. So they sent me a package of the small size and I discovered that they are to small for my ear. So I'm in between sizes.
Since I had two of these large ones that I can't use. I decided to sort of experiment with it to see if I can adjust them somehow. I'm glad I had these spared to experiment with because it allowed me to find out what I can do with the plastic it's made out of.
When I bent it to break the end off to make it shorter (Like I said, it's to long for my ear) I discovered that it's kind of like plastic/rubber. How it's "Bendable" reminds me of those old black plastic hair combs. So I had to bend it back and forth quite a bit before it broke off.
Next I grabbed a lighter to attempt to melt the end of the break so it won't have a sharp edge. I discovered that by heating it you can shape the plastic pretty well. It will be come soft so you can alter it's shape then when it cools it's hard again. So I was able to add a "Curve" to the end of it just like they have a curve on the end before breaking. In other words I was able to make it shaped just like it's suppose to be but the right length that I need. So it's now between the small and medium size.

I just thought I'd pass this along to you all in case you're don't fit you. Do it at your own risk of course. Maybe get an extra package of them. Each package comes with 2.
