Hi, I got some exciting news!! I made it to be a semi-finalist in a poetry contest and I am waiting the results now the contest ends in July 2006.

Here is my poem and this poem has already won the editor's choice award!!
in 2004.

Title is: Autumn's buttons of colors

Autumn's buttons of colors
Colors that never vanish
Vanish into our winter's snow
Snow that looksreal bleak and harsh
Harsh enough to vanish the colorful buttons
Buttons that are owned by Beautiful Autumn
iAutumn has the spirit which the wind
The wind is her friend helping her always
Always there are too many buttons to break
Away from her jacket of the summer green
Green that soon becomes her buttons
Buttons that are colored as the sky
Sky with a rainbow high in it after
After a rainfall of tears from her friend
Friend that helps her buttons fall
Fall upon the brown spiky catcus of the earth
Earth that is our home forever

I have other poetry and I have to say I enjoy writing it.

P.S. Be sure to read throughly then think of what I mean in it.

A second poem

This poem was made in 2001 and went through the contest as a semi-finalists then bronze medalist plus nominated $10,000.00 --I couldn't receive this because I was under 18.

Here is my poem and my heart went out in this poem.

Always A Friend (short version)

Always a friend
Friends stay at hand
Even though we are far apart
Far apart in seeing and hearing
Letters make us close

Wishing to be together longer
But one needs to move on
Move on even if we are friends
Memories help the olden days
We were together in the past

Priceless is our friendship
Friendship that will stay
Stay in our hearts long
Long after we depart for now
Through we move on or past away
Always a friend

Any questions or comments are welcome but no rudeness please

I wonder if you are invited to read your poem in front of people at convention ? I am invited there to read. They found interperter for me to read my poem. I copy and paste below what you will see about me:

Dear James,

I would like to inform you of your nomination as Poet of the Year for 2006, and to personally invite you to read your poetry at the single largest gathering of poets in history, where you will be formally inducted as an International Poet of Merit and Honored Member of our Society for 2006-2007.

Your induction will take place July 20-23, 2006, in the entertainment capital, Las Vegas, Nevada, during the 20th Anniversary International Society of Poets Convention and Symposium.

You will also be honored with two separate and very special awards for your poetic achievement at special ceremonies throughout the weekend.

First, to honor and commemorate your poetic accomplishments, after you read your poetry in front of fellow poets from around the world, you will be presented with your very own International Outstanding Achievement in Poetry Crystal Award Trophy. The Award is a magnificent work of art in itself ($300.00 value), made from imported lead crystal (see it here). It is hand-engraved and mounted on a three-tier solid marble base. This will be the first time ever that we have bestowed these crystal awards. They have been created by artisans that we have commissioned specially for this year in honor of our 20th Anniversary. This impressive 13-inch tall crystal award is so valuable that we have designed a special carrying case just for you to take it home.

And James . . . there's much more . . .

In recognition of your poetry presentation we will also present to you a beautifully crafted, antique bronze Commemorative Award Medallion to honor your poetic dedication and achievements.

Hi, I got some exciting news!! I made it to be a semi-finalist again in the same ry contest as my first one and I am waiting the results now the contest ends in July 2006.

This poem is title baby years:

Baby years went fast
Fast as a rainbow made
Made after a rain
Rain that refreshes the earth
Earth of our green grace
Grace of living things and more
More than that our world gives our body soulfully
Soulfully until the earth is a dead planet
Planet that supports no life
Life is like a gem stone
Stone that is rare to keep alive
Alive and well is it kept
Kept small in the Baby years
Baby years

Enjoy the meaning of this profound poem!!

I like your poem.

a poem that came from my heart after my hearing was lost by abuse

The title is: The Deaf Hears

The deaf hears not the sounds
Sounds that surround them
They don't hear like hearing people
People who can hear sounds around
Around the world there are plenty
Plenty sounds that deaf ones wish to hear

Hearing nothing is very boring for some
Some who wish to talk or listen to music
Music of the world sounds pleasing
Pleasing to only hearing and not to deaf

Deaf people feel ashamed until they
They get a hearing aid if possible
Possibly so they can hear others
Others that are friends and oneself
Deaf people should hear like hearing

Hearing is a part of life
Life that may not last long though
Though we think we live forever
Forever we do in heart, mind, and pictures
Pictures that last our lives long
Longer that we can live
Live in this humble world

This poem brings joy but tears to some when they read this.

If anyone is interested in my poems I have a website with all of them, if you PM I will give you the link to it.
