if u have appendix infection... what will happen? (i know there will be surgery but what is the process?)

if u have one of those.. PDI, uterus infection or cyst in ovaries... what will happen? whats the process in those?

what is bad about them meaning what do they do that will hurt you?

what do u expect when u have cat scan? whats the different between cat scan and mri?

for those who lives in ohio and is using ssi/medicare/medicaid... will medicare pay for medication? how do i get medicaid if i cant use medicare?


p.s. ill have lot of questions through this week cuz thats what i might have... those 4 possibilities and i know absolutely nothing except for appendix and those i only heard but did not research so i tried to goggle abt them learned some but not what i want to know :) so i m asking u guys please only facts thanks.
 
I know I had appendix infection three times. but no bursts... but my mom and grandma had theirs taken out. I am sure I will have mine taken out anytime down the rd. I am not sure about it since i was younger when it happened.

Nothing did affect my mom and grandma's female reproductive system.
 
you mean i can have appendix infection more than once?? :jaw: oh wonderful... lets hope its not the case :( but then i hope all others are not the case :(
 
That's very unusual downing... A friend of mine had appendix burst and he almost died from it. They had to cut him open from chest bone to lower part of his stomach to clean out the toxins. If he had gone to the hospital sooner he would only have had a small cut on his belly to remove the appendix.
 
wow thanks deaflibrarian... that makes me feel better knowing a bit more now... im expecting to have cat scan today :eek:

how long does it usually take?
 
okay the directions says no drink no eat prior to the test would they want me to hold urine? or not? should i call and ask to make sure? cuz i know when u get ultrasound usually they want full bladder no idea bout cat scan though and is it safe cuz i have cochlear implant?
 
wow interesting thread here.

I also has the problem with appendix infection on and off for 3 years. I take medician when it´s infection pain. My doctor explained: You will notice something different than infection pain thru severe tummy pain all the time and hardly to walk then....... emergery operation. I know I will have it remove some day but when? ***dunno***

but i wont know the results till tmw...

i definitely dont like cat scan :( they made me drink those gross fliud i dunno what spell they have it in grape favor but very very bitter eww then they put something in me by using IV and they had this huge horse needle with tube into the iv and pushed it into my vein then heres the worst part... they put water in my asshole!!!!!!!!!! :( now i feel really sick :(

will let u guys know whats the results tmw if u want to know ull read this thread :-P
 
ICK!!!

When they put stuff in IV, did you're body suddenly start feeling really warm? Just curious cause when I had kidney stone they injected Barium to see fluids in xray and that's what happened to me, just curious if same thing.

As for the water up the... ahem.... *shudders*

I have had hurt low right stomach where apenditis area on and off also sometimes throwin up, bending over.. but i m so afraid of going to have surgery I was told after that hurt to walk for awhile, true? also i cant afford to get off work more than week I am alone to live and work to support my lovely girls and am responsible with bills, rent and e.t.c. :( how long take to heal after having surgery?
 
i have no idea but i think it should be short since its very small surgery... what i have been told.. it was just small hole on ur stomach so its not even noticeable... but it could be not appendix.. it could be other 3 and if u let it go all 4 of them could end up killing u well appendix infection would since it could explode and other 3 infections could easily spread to your kidneys or liver so go to dr immediately... your girls need you to be healthy ... they dont need a dead or sick mother.
 
i do not know if i will have a laparoscopy yet... will have to wait till tmw to see what dr says ....
 
kk i recieved news today ... its not appendix or pid or anything its just a large cyst in the ovary... size of quarter and theres several small cysts in there.. so now i gotta go to see Gyn dr :eek:

:hug: Spice. I'm glad they figured out your problem, and I hope it gets taken care of.

Btw, depending on how large the cyst is, you may or may not need surgery. There is a medication that you can possibly be given that will dissolve the cyst alleviating the need to go in surgically. It really depends on the size of the cyst, though.

Hope things work out for you! You're in my thoughts. :)

By the way.. My perving girl will able to tell you about this.. she had experience like this.. so im going to get my perving little ass..hehe..
