so for lunch i put in some 90 second rice from Uncle Ben in the microwave.

i set the time for 90 seconds.

about 3 seconds left and BOOM.

i was like holy shit! so i rush over, and luckily it didn't explode, it just ripped the top open. that had never happened to me before.

thank god it didn't blow up my entire microwave

 ....I remember one time I heated up some popcorn in the microwave but the bag blew up and once I opened the microwave all I can see is some black balls flying out of the bag.... :ugh: ...but the good thing is my microwave is still working but the bad thing is, the popcorn is no longer white....

Care for some black popcorn?.... :aw:

I haven't had anything blow up in my microwave but I did get my popcorn burnt sometimes. Ewww they taste so awful yuck. ^Angel^, you can give them to birds :giggle:

Lol, Aj....I remember around the time the microwave oven for consumers was first put on the market (late 70's to early 80's??) and the introductory booklet suggested the first thing I should try was scrambled egge. Ok, so I proceed to do this and watched thru the window into the bowl of eggs I had scrambled. I watched the eggs begin to form like the BLOB and a few seconds before the timer went off, the egg matter is now a mountain and puffing like a yellow heart and then the next thing I know, BOOM. Dang, I near had a heart attack cuz this happened just a few inches in front of my face!! Eggs splattered all over the window and every square inch inside! Man, they smelled funny, too. Never again did I attempt the egg bit!

the worst is spaghetti sauce. i put a bowl of spaghetti sauce in the microwave with a paper towel over top...well that did nothing because it still blew up and went everywhere. cleaning the microwave was a b*tch

Oh fuk, I forgot egg not supposed be in the mircowave.. supposed be open the crack egg and put into the bowl... Damn me.. really ugly eggs yolk and shell all over the mircowave walls.. *whining cleaning the mircowave*
Learn my lesson!

I stare the whole time, then (laughing) LOUD BANG!!!!! (laughing harder) and it scares sh*t out of me. I said WTF??? I open the door GAWD!!!! Mess ALL OVER!!! It was my parent's microwave oven. Learned my lesson!!! NEVER AGAIN egg in microwave oven. Too much work cleaning mess up!!!

Oh yea I remember it happened to me too. The sauce splattered all over in the microwave. After that happened I started to use wax paper which I found to be better than paper towel.

Nope, egg is much worse! FYI!
I don't mind clean up spagetti splattering... But EGG??? NEVER AGAIN!!!! Too much work!

Yea I can imagine that after reading your and GA's posts. God that sounds awful. I've never tried microwaving eggs before and I don't want to try it after reading your posts lol.

Yup, exactly same thing, GAWD! have to use scraper no matter what!!! Even right away STILL have to use scrapper. GAWD! UNREAL! I can't remmy how long it took me to clear it up. But yea 30 minutes probably right.

I've never put eggs in a microwave before....So I dunno about that but I agree about the spaghetti sauce....

:giggle: You could try that at public places (Not your work!) throw in egg and turn microwave on for 2 minutes and you'd see for yourself and oops walks away! :nana: at poor employee!

Word of caution, since you may be deaf... That boom is really loud! So make sure employees are deaf, or out of range for them to hear. LOL
