The 8 Largest U.S. Retailers With The Worst Sales - The Consumerist

Shop at any of these? I haven't been to any at all lately except Home depot. Walmart must be thriving..

JC Penney is most of time I shoppin there. Sorry if I can't help enough.

Retailers aren't selling products with a high profit margin. Walmart posted low profits recently. People are reluctant to buy unnecessary items.

I never go to Sears because I hate to have to wait for an item that I want to buy. I don't think I've been to any of other stores in years except for Dillards and Sears.

Home Depot and Sears are the only two that I have shopped at lately.

People are being more wise with their money during the recession.

I think this article is somewhat misleading as the sales doesn't fully represent how well/badly the companies are doing. The better representation would be looking at each company's bottom lines - the profits they are making.

Sales and Profit isn't always correlated. Three companies on the list have seen their stock value rise including the #2 increasing their stock price by 87% despite a 23% loss in sales.

Once in a while I go to Sears and Home Depot. Mostly I go to Lowe's, Target and Walmart.

We are in Home Depot off and on, but mostly due to the forth-coming construction of our home. For that, we also go to Lowes. I do a lot at Office Depot. Sears and JC Penney we only go to at Christmas and then only since MIL likes them.
