I've heard about that before...tegumi said::roll:
Miss P., Find me a hotel with 666 rooms, and I would have no problem staying in it.
This reminds me of Japan, where the unlucky number is 4, because the way you say 4 is "shi", the same way you say "death". 99% of hotels and hospitals, and other buildings have no room number 4, or they count the floors 1,2,3,5,6, etc...

even in Japanese entertainment like the Power Rangers (Power Rangers was orginally created in Japan, if you didnt know...) and other superheroes stories, there were never a group of four or less, but usually about 5 or 6 heroes since they think that 4 is an unlucky number which would bring disaster to the heroes or something...
so I wouldn't understand how and why but hey, each country has a reason to be feared of any numbers that would bring bad luck or disaster or whatever...

RedFox said:I won't mind staying in a room number 666. It's as silly as being afraid of the number 13. Some hotels skip the 13th floor in their labeling of floors and rooms. It doesn't change that it's the 13th floor of the building. Switching the labels of the room 666 and 665 or 667 won't change anything about the rooms themselves. It's just some metal or plastic symbols that people agreed to read as numbers with some numbers having beliefs attached to them by people.
13 is just a number....and it's my "lucky number" too!
